Explosion Ignites A Huge Fire Break Out On Oil Rig Platform Offshore The Gulf Of Mexico.

A huge fire has broken out after an unexpected loud explosion in an oil rig platform, at the Gulf of Mexico, located 65 miles (95km) off the coast of Texas, on Thursday the 24th of October, 2024.

This explosion occurred during the day on Thursday the 24th of October, 2024 which has forced the evacuation of about 15 workers from the platform. Although some senior staff and executive engineers stayed behind to monitor the platform because of the ongoing production. The unfortunate accident left two workers dead and four deckhands sustained critical burns and others sustained critical injuries from the explosion.

The spokesman and the Senior Industry Expert (SIE), Engineer. Arthur Sabatay of the contracting petroleum company on-site stated that one of the engines was showing minor signs of failure but it was duly fixed only for the same engine to flare up leaving two workers dead, others severely injured while damaging valuable properties. US Coast Guard and federal safety officials are still trying to assess all potential hazards caused.

According to our sources, the contracting company in charge of the drilling and maintenance of the oil rig is currently under investigation with the insurance company in an attempt to uncover the actual cause of this accident which has resulted in the loss of lives, multiple injuries, casualties and damage of valuable equipment worth hundreds of thousands.
