On Friday, 24 May 2024, the Oslo district court handed down judgment in the application filed by the State against Mr. Solberg for Unsettled Worker Payments.
In the matter of the case presented before this honorable court, wherein the State, brought a claim against the defendant (Mr. Solberg), the court, having duly considered the evidence and arguments presented by both parties, hereby issues the following verdict:
The rules of international archeology states that a foreign person who owe their workers more than 3months without payment, if taken to court, he or she will be made to pay 25% of the total salary to the workers before he or she can receive freedom.
In the case of Mr Solberg that amount will be $68,750.00, the initial $25,000.00 was supposed to set him free last month but he kept delaying or couldn’t meet up and now the law states he pay 25% out of $275,000.00.
The Judge reiterate that, if he keeps delaying, and does not meet the bail conditions, he will be returned back to prison next week Friday after the court hearing.
The bank account and assets of Mr Solberg are still frozen and on red alert until he meets all bail conditions.
The only condition for freedom is to settle the 25% fine. These are the words of judge Jørgen who’s in charge of the court proceedings.
